So, you’re standing at home plate on a baseball field and you’re ready to sing the National Anthem. You open your mouth and out comes; “O! say can you see…. hmm hmmm hmm… early light”.  Don’t let this happen to YOU! Install LyricsFly.com lyric search to your browser and learn those lyrics!

Granted, you’re probably not going to have a computer handy in the middle of a baseball field, but you get the point. LyricsFly.com is a cool little application that allows you to find lyrics of a song by artist, song title, album, or Lyrics.

The Fourth in our series of the Loud3r group of sites is a search engine dedicated to the movies called Screen3r.com.  At first glance, you might think that Screen3r is just another IMDB clone.  After all, both sites cover the same industry and organize their information by Movies, Actors, Actresses, and directors. However they’re actually two different sides of the same coin.  IMDB functions more as a database of movie stats and information, while Scree3r is more focused on the latest news stories around the movie industry. Screen3r does provide some information about actors and such, in the form of a side bar populated with data from Wikipedia.org.

Whether you’re into Halo 3 on the Xbox 360 or prefer the old school Nintendo and Atari systems, you can find all your news about the gaming industry at Blast3r.com.

Since gaming is a computer (or console) based industry, there are thousands of sites with information about video games.  What Blast3r does is index most of those sites into one location, so you don’t have to subscribe to multiple sites to stay up to speed.

Like most of the Loud3r sites, Blast3r organizes the gaming industry by topics, each with it’s own RSS feed to focus your information on one specific area.  Their topics page has a very VERY long list of categories and sub-categories to browse through. (see the full list below) More »

When you say “Online Video” the first thing most people think of is YouTube.  However, if you’re looking for something a little sleeker, a little sexier, and with more options, you might want to check out Vimeo.com

There are several things that seperate Vimeo from other video services out there.  Vimeo has all the standard features that come with most hosted video services; It’s free, embeddable players, and it has the ability to allow users to comment on your video.  But, that’s where a lot of the similarities end.

First, there’s an HD video channel, dedicated strictly to videos in 1280×720.  This offers a considerable quality improvement over the standard 400 odd pixel videos available on YouTube. More »

If you’re like me, (and two-thirds of internet users) you surf the web while you’re watching a movie or TV.  Have you ever been watching a movie and see an actor and you think; Where have I seen them before? With IMDB.com installed in your browser’s search, you can simply do a search for the name of the movie you’re watching and it will bring up a list of the actors, their character names, and a picture (if available) in the results, along with links to other movies and TV shows they’ve been in. IMDB.com not only works for movie titles, you can search for actors, actresses, tv shows, quotes, and more.

Case in point… I’m sitting here watching The Venture Brothers on Adult Swim and I hear the voice of Brock Samson (Dr. Venture’s body gaurd) and I think to myself;  where have I heard that voice before?  So, I do a search on IMDB.com for “Venture Brothers” and find that Patrick Warburton provides the voice.  That’s right, he’s Elaine’s boyfriend from Seinfeld. (and pretty much EVERY cartoon made since 1999)

VideoFetcher is an interesting new startup. It allows you to search through hundreds of different video sites, all from one location.  I did a quick search for “A-Team” and it brought back search results from several different sites including Youtube, mySpace, Yahoo! Video, AOL Uncut, and many more.

The interface is simple enough.  Once you do a search either from the browser or from  the site itself it brings you to a framed results page with a directory of sites on the left side frame and the video on the right. to switch between the video sites, you simple click on the title of the site you want to see and it shows the site on the right frame.  It even shows a little puppy icon next to the links that you’ve already visited.
