PleaseDress.me - A t-shirt Search Engine (?)
Ok, so it’s been a few days since I’ve posted, but keeping in the spirit of the Labor Day Holiday here in the states, I decided to take the day off. It’s now 12:09am on Tuesday, so technically it’s no longer Monday.
But, I’m still a little sunburned and a little exhausted from chasing the kids around the park all day, so I’m going to keep this one short and sweet with a review and browser search plugin for a t-shirt search engine…. yes, you heard me right a t-shirt search Engine!
Let me introduce you to PleaseDress.me… a small t-shirt search engine and side project from Gary Vaynerchuck of Wine Library TV. PleaseDress.me (cudos on the name by the way) is a very simple search engine with a singular purpose… finding t-shirts.
As most of you may know, t-shirt startups and companies are a dime a dozen. Anyone and everyone nowdays seems to have a t-shirt company in one form or fashion. What PleaseDress.me attempts to do, is search through some of the best top end stores like Threadless, and Snorg Tees to help you find t-shirts on specific subjects.
However, after searching through the site, I found that a lot of search results came up with little to no results, or came up with some odd ones to boot. For example, a search for “kittens” came back with nothing, but “cats” did find some results.
Besides the search, there are some interesting tools available on the site. For example, there is a tag cloud and a few tools to search by color and price, so it does provide a valuable service.
So, in closing… PleaseDress.me is an interesting concept and one that has had some publicity lately. So, if you’re interested in fashion and more specifically t-shirts, i recommend you give this one a try.

If you like that, I’d be interested in what you think of http://www.shirtseek.com. It’s not getting nearly as much press, but it’s been around for months! ;-)
