The highlights of this week are definately the visual search engines. This approach seems to be a growing trend in the search genre and is probably due to two major factors; Increasing adoption of broadband connection speeds and the readily available - and infinitely expandable - computing power available to startups. I think as more and more cloud computing services such as Amazon’s EC2 service and Google’s App Engine come on line, we’ll begin to see trend increase in the future.
