Granted, you’re probably not going to have a computer handy in the middle of a baseball field, but you get the point. LyricsFly.com is a cool little application that allows you to find lyrics of a song by artist, song title, album, or Lyrics.
My first impression of the site is that LyricsFly.com would be a simple application. You type in the title or the lyrics you know and it brings back a bunch of songs that might be what you’re looking for. However, after browsing through and using it for a little while, I started to realize it’s actually a feature rich little tool. First, the site has an autodiscovery function that will suggest items as you type. Now, this isn’t available through the browser plugin, but it’s on the site after your initial search.
Another cool feature and unexpected suprise is on the results page. Let’s say you know only a few words of a song, but not the title or the artist. Switch the application over to the “lyrics” section and type in the words you know. After you select an artist that you think is right you’re brought to the results page. LyricsFly will actually highlight the words you know in the song. Cool. The results page also has a lot of other features to discover more about the music like mp3’s, YouTube Videos, and similar artists.
With so many artists and songs out there, it can be rather daunting to find lyrics of something you heard on the radio. But, with LyricsFly you have the tools to help you find it.
